Peter Behrle
Managing Director
Peter J. Behrle stands at the helm of PB Renewables LLC as its Managing Director. With the company’s inception in 2006, Peter has been steering it towards excellence in the fields of biofuels, renewable natural gas, alternative energy, and liquid waste consultancy. His broad expertise encompasses C-level consulting services, emphasizing project development, finance, due diligence, and general management.
Peter is a proud alumnus of Cornell University with a B.A. in Economics. His voice and insights have been influential in various conferences and seminars, including BioCycle Magazine’s “Waste-to-Energy Conference” and Rutgers University’s events. His dedication extends beyond the professional realm into civic engagement, having served as an elected member of the Board of Education at Essex Fells Public School, New Jersey.
Peter has a rich history of influential roles, including advising at H.I.G. Infrastructure LLC, TPG Capital, and conducting operations due diligence for Neste, the world’s largest renewable diesel producer. Under his leadership, PB Renewables is engaged in various consultative roles, notably with Emerald Biofuels, RNG Energy Solutions LLC, Outagamie Clean Energy Partners LLC, and several others, contributing significantly to the renewable energy sector.
Dave Baker

As the newest consultant on Peter Behrle’s renewable energy consultancy team, Dave Baker brings a robust background in economics coupled with a detail-oriented approach, offering a unique blend of analytical expertise and practical insights. Having joined PBR in 2023, Dave applies his diverse capabilities towards pioneering innovative and sustainable solutions in the renewable energy sector. His primary focus is on working closely with the managing director to elevate the quality and delivery of all the services offered by the consultancy, ensuring collaborative and impactful advancements in the renewable energy sector.
Richard Serio

Richard Serio, a recognized leader in the environmental and renewable energy sectors, steers RJS Environmental Technologies as its President. Under his leadership, RJS has become known for its innovative work in transforming waste into fuel and advancing biofuel technologies, making significant strides in the U.S. bioenergy market, particularly in refining feedstock materials for high-energy-demand industries.
Mr. Serio’s career is characterized by a broad range of experiences that contribute to his expertise. Serving as a Senior Advisor at Corporate Fuel, a prominent investment bank in New York, he has leveraged his position at RJS to provide strategic guidance in environmental services and waste management. His involvement spans groundbreaking projects, including the development of new landfill sites, energy projects that capitalize on waste, and ventures in renewable natural gas.
His journey through the industry includes impactful tenures at Covanta Energy, where he managed waste-to-energy facilities, and at Interstate Waste, Progressive Waste Solutions, and Republic Services. In these roles, he gained extensive knowledge in operations, sales, and market intelligence within the waste management sector.
Mr. Serio also demonstrated his entrepreneurial flair as the CEO of ZeroTruck, a company focused on electrifying medium-duty trucks. His venture into the business process outsourcing sector further underscores his ability to manage complex
operations both in the U.S. and abroad.
Integral to his professional journey is his educational background in Environmental Science and Geology from Hofstra University, subtly woven into his career path, enriching his practical know-how with a solid theoretical understanding.on waste, and ventures in renewable natural gas.

Michael McHale
PBR Affiliate
Michael H. McHale is a seasoned entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience, specializing in the design, development, and construction of complex technologies. As a business executive, he has a proven track record of delivering exceptional operational results for both domestic start-ups and private equity companies. Michael’s expertise in managing organizational transitions and financial turnarounds is recognized widely, marked by his ability to harness change management skills and process improvement expertise. This proficiency has been key to driving profitability and productivity gains in
a highly collaborative manner.
Michael independently operates Production Systems Automation (PSA), a company he acquired in 2016. Under his leadership as Managing Partner and CEO, PSA, a system integrator and manufacturer of robotic solutions and custom machinery, has seen tremendous growth, expanding from 5 to 90 employees. The company also earned a spot in INC Magazine’s fastest-growing 5000 companies in the US, ranking at #761. Michael’s educational background includes a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University, complementing his extensive experience in the development, design, installation, and startup of commercial and industrial projects. He has managed projects exceeding $4 billion, including large-scale constructions worth over $2 billion.
Michael’s strong financial acumen and deep understanding of business operations enable him to innovate using a company’s existing strengths, guiding them towards success. His ability to manage projects from conception through to implementation and completion is a testament to his comprehensive skill set.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Michael contributes to the broader industry and academic community. He serves on several industrial and educational boards, including the Industrial Advisory Board at the University of Scranton, TecBridge of Northeast PA, and the Industrial Board at Lackawanna College, among others.
